Waking up with yet again a breakfast delight as only the Namib Express can provide.

Followed by a walk to dig into the subtleties of the community. "What is in a name? A rose by any other name is still a rose!" Shakespeare said.

The old and the new and the surprise of oom Jim Fouche still reigning! Oom Jim has longest presidency of South Africa to date.  Way back as a school kid, being at his inauguration on the Parade in Cape Town, '68, is still an event to remember.

And the remnants of the flight from Angola in the '70s. All over Windhoek they do their thing.

Sadly all comes to an end ...

Reluctantly we pack our bags, "It cannot be true!"

For a final step on that great invention to speed up bus loading.

To briefly pop in at those stuffing guys.

Ready for the looong wait in that tiny airport.

In the old days named Hans Strijdom airport and now as infamous like Joe's when a brand new, out of the box SAA Boeing 707 took off, 20 April '68, also on a Sunday afternoon and ploughed into the ground. 123 died instantly and only five survived. Boeing took responsibility due to a technical fault.

Boredom lifted due to the presence of what must be the queen of Herero land!

At last the Embraer lifted it's front wheels and away we go!
